Today's main stories in the 2020 Student Union elections

Online Voting

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the UCD Students’ Union elections will take place via online voting. Online voting needs to be approved by the Independent Appeals and Disciplinary Board (IADB), as well as the Chief Returning Officer, the SU Executive, which is made up of Sabbatical Officers, College Officers, and the Irish Language officer. It is understood that given the exceptional circumstances, the approval will be granted to allow online voting to go ahead.

It is not yet known the exact method in which online voting will take place, or if the current system of Single Transferable Vote will be the method used for the online voting.
