UCD Bike Days to be held in week 4

UCD Estate Services will be holding its annual bike days on Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th of February of week 4. The events will be held in the quad area between the Health Sciences Building and the Old Student Centre on Wednesday and at the Quinn Concourse on Thursday.The bikes days aim to promote all aspects of cycling. The first activity will be held at 8.30am in the morning. The first 300 cyclists to arrive on the quad will received a free breakfast. From 11am, staff can avail of a free raffle for a bicycle.A cycling instructor will be available to speak with cyclists about safe cycling practices. The instructor will give demonstrations on bicycle security on campus.The Bike Days will also be working in collaboration with other events. On Wednesday there will be a Dublin Bus Urban Jungle demonstration from 10.30am, providing staff and students the information on various road safety campaigns. Also the UCD Bike Day has teamed up with UCD Healthy Eating Week. Students can use “pedal power” to create a smoothie.
