With so many bars in Dublin, it’s hard to find the ones with unique cocktail menus at a reasonable price point. Orla Mahon shares some that are worth making the visit to.
Having a night out in Dublin without breaking the bank is hard these days – especially if cocktails are your preferred drink of choice. Below are some of the best bars in Dublin for reasonably priced and delicious cocktails.
Mulligan & Haines: Situated on Dame Street, this bar and restaurant draws on James Joyces’ Ulysses for inspiration – it’s named after two of Joyces’ characters. The interior is warm and welcoming with a cosy atmosphere. What makes it even better is that there’s a two-for-15 deal on cocktails on weekdays.
The Market Bar: There’s a lot on offer at this Fade Street bar. With events ranging from drag brunches to cocktail masterclasses, as well as live music every weekend, there’s always something exciting happening. The cocktail menu includes all the classics as well as some more creative ventures, such as their Pineapple Margarita.
Krewe: A New Orleans-inspired bar and eatery that boasts an eclectic choice of cocktails. Their menu has the perfect balance of classic drinks and signature cocktails. The Storyville – with ingredients including tequila, refreshing watermelon juice, cucumber, and a touch of agave – is a particular highlight. Sharing cocktails are also on offer.
The Bar With No Name: With a straightforward menu, No Name has all its cocktails perfected. The charming shabby-chic interior and expansive outdoor terrace make for a fun and unique experience in the heart of Fade Street.
777: A Mexican restaurant with one of the most diverse cocktail menus in Dublin. What’s more, they also have a two-for-16 margarita offer every Monday. They have plenty of excellent non-alcoholic options too. Definitely worth a visit!
Alfies: No list of bars in Dublin would be complete without mentioning Alfies. Their student deal of five euro cocktails every Monday and Sunday is hard to beat – just remember to bring your student card.
