Student Legal Convention opened by Miriam O’Callaghan

UCD’s third annual student legal convention is being held today in the Fitzgerald chamber. The event is hosted by RTÉ broadcaster and former UCD Law student Miriam O’Callaghan.The day includes debates on law reform, data protection and election analysis. Guests include Father Peter McVerry and Colm O’Gorman, head of Amnesty International Ireland.The election analysis segment involves discussions from UCD School of Politics and International Relations professor David Farrell as well as Prof. Michael Marsh of Trinity College.Events are continuing for the rest of the day with a networking opportunity to be held in the Sutherland School of Law this evening.More information about the Student Legal Convention can be found here.
