Hi Spirits Wine Club

Black-led, full-bodied, and high-spirited... Hi Spirits Wine Club was founded by Ngozi Elobuike in Dublin in June 2023, and has only been on the rise ever since. They have curated a magnitude of high calibre events, from 5-course meals catered by Masterchef Semi-Finalist Victor Okunowo, to African and Caribbean spirit tastings elevated by music and local artists. Hi Spirits Wine Club has created a platform to celebrate diversity and heritage, and what’s more, they are home to Ireland’s first Pan-African inspired gin, Zorelle. You can find out more on their Instagram, @hi.spiritswineclub.

Nico Reynolds

Growing up in Dublin, Nico leans on the influences of his Jamaican grandmother and his travels around South America when it comes to cooking. He’s now known for his fusions of Irish, Caribbean, and Latin ingredients. You can also look out for Reynolds’ brand new series of ‘Cook in, Cook out’ on RTÉ One every Wednesday at 8:30pm, and browse through his instagram @nicoderey for endless inspiration and mouth-watering recipes.

South African Braai Food Truck

South African Braai is a staple of Skerries Main Street every Friday 5pm-9pm, Saturday 4pm to 9pm, and Sunday 12:30pm to 5:30pm, and Mespil Road during the week from 10am to 2pm. With choices between a 14-hour smoked beef brisket, buffalo grilled chicken fillet, and a Boeriewors roll, the yellow horse-box turned food truck has brought the tastes of South Africa to Dublin. You can follow them on instagram @southafricanbraii - and you can literally follow them to Skerries and Mespil Road.
