In support of most recent album Heaven Is Whenever, The Hold Steady play the Academy for their first Irish date since the departure of keyboardist Franz Nicolay. Head down to the gig for a near-guaranteed evening of fantastic, consistently anthemic rock music – just try to resist singing along, nobody likes a guest vocalist.- Imelda Hehir
