Sabbatical Officer By-Elections: Hustings to take place tomorrow

Hustings for two sabbatical officer roles are set to take place tomorrow, Thursday 16th at 6pm in the Ag Building, room AGR G-09

Elections are to be held roles of Campaigns and Engagement Officer and Entertainment Officer. Voting will take place from the 22nd to the 23rd of October, with results announced on Friday 24th.

Campaigns and Engagement:
Kelvyn Fields is one of two candidates running for the role of Campaigns and Engagement Officer. He is a recent graduate of a Masters in Gender, Sexuality, and Culture. His manifesto focuses on the topics of housing, transport, Palestine, organising on a national level, fees, union engagement, and LGBTQ+ rights. 

Rajul Bhitre is the second candidate running for the role of Campaigns and Engagement Officer. She is a recent graduate of a Masters in Philosophy and Literature. Her manifesto focuses on the topics of economic justice, transparency and engagement, campus infrastructure, academic support, administrative barriers to SU roles, and the Smurfit campus. 

Entertainment:
Luke Sherlock is the only candidate running for the position of Entertainment Officer. He has completed his second year of his undergraduate degree Health and Performance Science, and is currently on a year of absence from his studies. His manifesto focuses on events that he wishes to run if he elected, including a charity soccer league, regular cooking classes, working alongside societies, and creating an event celebrating Irish culture and traditional music.
