Lucy Cleere previews Kim Kardashians' acting debut in the upcoming season of American Horror Story
In the preview of American Horror Story’s brand-new 13th season, we are presented with an image of none other than Kim Kardashian herself, hanging upside down with a net of platinum cobwebs posing as her hair, glaring at us sultrily. Bet you weren’t expecting that.
I have almost had to check my calendar because, by some miracle, I am writing about Kim Kardashian in the year 2023. Miss K has actually gone and done it – stayed relevant for well over a decade with arguably little-to-no talent regarding anything other than her external looks and a wonderful momager.
This episode, adapted from the horror novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, centres around Anna, an actress who despite multiple IVF treatments struggles to become pregnant and is wary that mysterious forces are preventing this. It has been described as “a horror novel about pregnancy” by Valentine.
Highlighting difficult themes such as the discomfort of pregnancy, infertility and childbirth, the episode will tackle similar subjects that regular viewers of KUWTK (or just, the general population who live above ground and have owned some sort of mobile device since 2007) will have seen Kardashian endure in her personal life, so this crossover should be.... interesting.
It is a vast understatement that this Kardashian is no stranger to the public eye, it should be intriguing to see how the celebrity shifts from reality TV to the silver screen.
