Full Time: Ireland 22-19 Argentina
That was close...
82' After a scary final few minutes for Ireland, and with Argentina camped in the Irish 22', there appears to be a knock-on from Argentina and Ireland survive!
That was a bitterly disappointing second half from Ireland, who failed to register a single point. The attack looked clunky, whilst the defence saved them at the end there
78' Argentina win a crucial turnover penalty as Ireland look to gain momentum in attack. One minute to go and this game is on a knife-edge
75' YELLOW CARD BUNKER REVIEW - Argentina's Francisco Gómez Kodela receives a yellow card for a dangerous clearout on Calean Doris
71' Ireland with some long phase play in attack, but look out of ideas and Sam Prendergast gets caught isolated and turns the ball over and Argentina can clear. Ireland's defence not quite clickiing again this week
66' Cian Healy comes on to make his record-equalling cap
62' Ireland roll out the changes
Ryan Baird, Sam Prendergast and Jamie Osborne ON
James Ryan, Jack Crowley and Robbie Henshaw OFF
60' Joe McCarthy back on for Ireland after ten minutes in the bin.
Ireland enjoying a good spell of possession, but failing to make best use of it so far
55' Albornoz attempts to recreate Jack Crowley's first-half drop goal, but his effort is well wide
50' YELLOW CARD - Ireland and Joe McCarthy are shown a yellow card for repeated infringements around the breakdown and offsides.
Andy Farrell scratches his head in the coaches box as Albornoz steps up to attempt another shot at goal, which he converts, 22-19
48' It's all Argentina at the start of the second half, Ireland are being forced to defend lots early on and are still giving away numerous silly penalties
45' TRY ARGENTINA - First blood of the second half goes the way of Argentina, as Juan Cruz Mallía shrugs off four tackles to score a brilliant try. Albornoz converts, IRE 22-16 ARG
41' The Second Half gets underway!
HALF TIME: IRELAND 22-9 ARGENTINA
40' Ireland soak up the pressure well and despite giving away four penalties in quick succession, manage to head into half time without conceding any more points. Sloppy penalties could have cost Ireland at the end of the half there, but they defended very well and forced a turnover after Argentina went for the tap-and-go penalty.
Jack Crowley screams for the ball and boots it out as the clock turns red
38' As half time is approaching Ireland are having to suck up a bit of pressure now, and are coughing up a few cheap penalties. A tough test to close the half
31' TRY IRELAND - After a well-taken lineout from James Ryan at the rear, Ireland launch a viscious set play. Robbie Henshaw crashes up the middle, before offloading neatly inside to James Lowe who comes within inches of the Try line. Jamison Gibson-Park fizzes a pass at Joe McCarthy who crashes over the try line to score Ireland's third try of the half.
Crowley converts, 22-9
30' Argentina snuff out a turnover and clear the ball, but it doesn't go very far and Ireland with another lineout inside the Argentinian 22'
28' Ireland are awarded a cheap penalty after a moment of stupidity from Argentina as Jamison Gibson-Park is illegally taken out at the breakdown. They have the lineout and look to drive over with their maul, but Argentina meet it well
24' Penalty Argentina - Ireland penalised around the breakdown, and Thomas Albornoz steps up to take a kick from the five metre line. He has the distance and the accuracy, it's another three points for Argentina, 15-9
23' Decision - Finlay Bealham's Yellow Card will remain a yellow card. Ireland have a scrum, however, and with Bealham off the pitch that means Tom Clarkson is on the pitch to make his Ireland debut
21' Drop Goal for Ireland - Rather unusual to see a drop goal midway through the half. After Ireland scrape back possession after a sloppy lineout, Crowley lines up and sails a drop kick through the posts to extend Ireland's advantage. 15-6
16' YELLOW CARD - Finlay Bealham is shown a yellow card for an illegal Croc Roll and will sit in the bin for at least ten minutes - it has been submitted for an off-field review
Argentina have the penalty and Thomas Albornoz converts to reduce Ireland's lead to just six points, 12-6
15' Try for Ireland is ruled out after Tadhg Beirne dropped the ball over the line. It was a brilliant attacking move from Ireland, Beirne just unable to add the five points, it remained Ireland 12-3 Argentina
Argentina have a goal-line drop out
10' Penalty Argentina - Ireland are penalised for an offside, Thomas Albornoz lines up the kick and gets Argentina's first points of the game, 12-3
Decision from the Bunker - Matias Moroni's Yellow card has remained a yellow card
5' TRY IRELAND - Ireland score again, this time through Mack Hansen as they really push on with their numbers advantage. After a storming run through the middle of the defence from Gary Ringrose, Jamison Gibson-Park finds Tadhg Beirne out wide, who offloads to Mack Hansen who crosses over for Ireland's second try of the game.
Jack Crowley's attempted conversion falls just short, 12-0
3' TRY IRELAND - Ireland immediately make their man-advantage pay off as they score a try through Jack Crowley. Ireland won their own lineout, and after a series of pick and go drives, Crowley uses some fancy footwork and crosses over for the score
He converts his own try, 7-0
2' Ireland gift Argentina a try, passing the ball straight into the hands of Lucio Cinti, who offloads to Matias Moroni who is over for an easy score.
But...
Referee Paul Williams goes back for a TMO check for foul play from the try scorer just moments earlier.
The referee shows Moroni a yellow card for a high shot on Jack Crowley and the Try is Ruled Out and Ireland have a penalty, which they kick to the corner
1' Kick Off
