Students are invited to attend a fundraising event at 10pm tonight in Howl at the Moon for Berkeley victim, Aoife Beary. The 21 year old student was injured in the balcony collapse last June and has since returned to Ireland to continue her medical care.

Aisling Smyth, one of Beary’s friends who has helped to organise the event, says “money would mean lots to her family… fundraising is vital at this time so the family can continue to give all the support needed for Aoife’s recovery.”

The organisers hope to sell 1,000 tickets with the aim of raising between €10,000 and €12,000. All profits raised tonight will go towards Beary’s rehabilitation. Tickets cost €12 and can be purchased at the door.
