Harvey Harpenson Junior has struggled adapting to his first year in college, and we want to help him come out of his shell. Pretty please give his first article some love, nice feedback only!
The Harpy has historically been a space for all walks of campus life to ponder, reflect and appreciate the times. Our laxed views on ideas like “biases”, “lying” and “integrity” has certainly enforced this, with the section even being an opportunity for the least experienced writer. This has attracted a large batch of fresher contributions, with new faces getting their shot in the UO hall of fame. Of note is Harvey Harpenson Jr.’s first article, one we’re very proud to show you all. Harvey has really struggled to adapt in his first year, so be sure to be nice and show some positive feedback:
My first day at UCD was really really fun. I had to get on a really big bus and go very far for a while. I had a tube of green pringles to myself when we were driving, which I don’t think the woman beside me liked. I tried to feed her some, but she moved to another seat. She must be nervous for her first day too! I got really really confused when we got to UCD. There’s a lot of people, and it took me at least four hours to find my first class. I am doing commerce, which I am told I’d be very good at because I am very smart. I went to the little boys room before class and I saw someone sniffing baby powder by the sink. I don’t think that’d feel very nice, but he seemed to be happy. I really enjoyed my first day and hope you enjoyed it too!
