The center is set to open on Monday the 31st of May, and will be located in the O’Reilly Hall, and is to be run by the Ireland East Hospital Group in partnership with UCD

In a release on the UCD website, President Andrew Deeks stated “We are delighted to support the HSE’s national vaccination programme and to facilitate the Ireland East Hospital Group to administer vaccines as rapidly as supplies permit”, adding “It is only through widespread vaccination that we will be able to offer students an excellent campus experience in September”.

The CEO of Ireland East Hospital Group Declan Lyons added “We are aiming to vaccinate up to 1,000 people per day at UCD Belfield from next week. We are delighted to work with our academic partner, UCD, in establishing this facility and it will greatly enhance our capacity with regard to the national vaccination programme.

Vaccinations will follow the HSE appointment schedule, and so only those with official notifications are asked to attend appointments. Parking will be available near the N11 entrance for those driving to the center to receive vaccines.
