Summer is right around the corner, and so is beer garden season! Orla Mahon takes a look at some of the best beer gardens Dublin has to offer.
With the days starting to get longer and the weather beginning to be slightly less terrible than usual, it’s time to catch up on some of the nicest beer gardens in Dublin. With my friends’ advice at the ready, we put our heads together to form a list of some of our favourite beer gardens.
Horse Show House: This bar and restaurant looks fairly inconspicuous from the outside, yet it hosts an inviting beer garden with ambient lighting and the occasional live music performance. Its location directly across from the RDS in Ballsbridge makes it ideal if you happen to be in the area for, let’s say, an exam or something…
Camden Bites & Brews: There’s a lot on offer at Camden Bites & Brews. With a stellar food menu, an excellent selection of cocktails, and of course, some brilliant outdoor seating, it makes for the perfect visit on a warm day. Don’t miss out on the truffle and rosemary fries!
Toners: Potentially a controversial inclusion – however, its bubbling atmosphere and gorgeous beer yard make it well worth a visit. It comes with a retractable roof, so there’s no fear of being caught out by the rain.
Searson’s: The beer garden in Searson’s comes equipped with its own outdoor bar, along with TV screens that make it the perfect venue for catching a match while you enjoy a drink.
Harry Byrne’s: Located in Clontarf, Harry Byrne’s comes with a large beer garden with covered snugs along the outskirts. Worth taking the time to pop in!
