Competition for raising discussion of drug-related issues launched

STUDENTS ranging from the ages of 12 to 25 are encouraged to enter this year's drug awareness competition, run by Drugs.ie, entitled Lets Talk About Drugs National Youth Media Award, which is in partnership with the Irish Times.Entries for the competition are separated into four categories which include; a news article, video/animation, an audio recording and poster design. Entrants have two themes to choose from. The first examining why some young people choose to do drugs and the second examining the impact alcohol can have on relationships.Entries will be accepted as an individual or as part of a group project, and entrants can enter as many times as they wish by either submitting as part of a group and individually or as an individual but in a varying of media or in one or both themes.The competition is now in its third year, with the winners each receiving and iPad Mini and an overall winner who will receive both an iPad Mini and a cheque for €2,000.
